Arif Mohammad said – he did not want to kill, he wanted to scare
The Governor said that the VC of Kannur University was used to ensure that I am present on the stage, only then the attack should be carried out. He also alleged that the Chief Minister had given special instructions not to report it. It was also said that the police should not take cognizance in this case, while it was a major offense under the IPC. He said that naturally the attackers did not want to kill me. They knew what the consequences would be. They just wanted to scare me.
